Throwing in Clay is all about centering. If you can learn to center, you can throw just about any pot you want. I have seen big muscular men and tiny skinny women throw. You can struggle for quite a long time learning to center, and even give up and throw off center.These are the hands of my classmate Monica and my teacher Kathy working on their pots. I am concentrating on hand building, but still love to watch someone throw a good pot.
The bottom two photo's are of trimming pots after they have become leather hard.
