Each student in my class has their own unique style. Maryann loves dichroic glass as I do. She loves color and texture. She fits together long pieces, she patiently cuts out one by one. Then glues them on a sheet of clear glass to get ready for the firing. Once they are fired as one large piece she can then go back and cut them into smaller pieces for jewelry. Maryann is a stewardess on an airlines and she teaches at a private school. Some times we tell ourselves we don't have time to do art, but when Maryann tells me she just flew back from South America and got to class on time. I realize there are no real excuses, we make time for what we love.
