This is a raku pot I like a lot. It is very sculptural and non functional. My classmates laugh a bit at me because they know I would rather make things that are non functional than have a use. Now a craftsman of ceramics could find much to criticize if they wanted. For me I love the slant, the bulging, the sloping, the collage of clay pieces, smashed and stamped like emblems on the sides. All three colors came out beautifully in the firing...the greens, the coppers, and the white crackle. Tell me what you think of when you see this pot....I think it tells a story..what do you think it is?
