Living Mountain Artsy Style/Blue Ridge Habitat

Living Mountain Artsy Style
This is an addition to this morning's post of Dumont, the interior designer, and JB, the fine carpenter builder. Of course all work takes committees and advice. This project is no different. Sassy Pants, Winne, Abby, and Coco all have input and output!
The cabin was a typical conservative country style home until JB and Dumont got started. The walls come down, a new extended deck, more sliders and windows for the million dollar view. Both women have a feel for the creative use of materials.

Below is a portrait study with Rembrandt lighting. Not really, just a photo of a chiuaua being unusually nice. Coco actually, adorned my lap and allowed me to pet him, unheard of! I was so honored.

Blue Ridge Mountain View

Looking out is the new extended deck The view is of family farmers and local dairy farms. The sunsets are outstanding!

The original deck had only one set of sliders and traditional rails. Now with a new metal roof
sliders across the full front of the house, pig pen wire in between the deck posts, and a new upper deck off the master bedroom. This could cost a pretty penny, but with both partners working in tandem they save a great deal. Work is also taking place inside...a stair well will be moved, walls are taken down and the house is getting an open look. The kitchen is also being moved and remodeled. As I receive updated pics, I will share with you also. These are my neighbors and creative women. There are so many ways to be an artist and both of these women have found a way to have a creative life!

Here are the links for houses Dumont and JB have remodeled.
