Being Indian is an attitude, a state of mind, a way of being in harmony with all things and all beings. It is allowing the heart to be the distributor of energy on this planet; to allow feelings and sensitivities to determine where energy goes; bringing aliveness up from the Earth and from the Sky, putting it in and giving it out from the heart."  - Brooke Medicine Eagle

Being an artist is about many things, but being close to the Earth and nature reflects the world we are part of.  We see colors and shapes others may not, we are sensitive to the most amazing variety of things from our senses of sight, smell and sound...but we also sense things in a way that is hard to describe...the feel of the deep old forest cool on our skin, the glint of light in the eye of an elegant Elk walking in quiet majesty,  the overwhelming feeling moving through space as if a being of light rooted in the Earth, but soaring to the stars.  We are sensitives and we absorb, then we reflect.  We are Artists.
