A Blue Ridge Sampler of Sunsets

I took all of these photographs the same evening from the deck of a friends home.  The sky was absolutely amazing yesterday.  The glow seemed to go on and on forever.  The colors seem almost surreal they are so beautiful.  I am reminded of the first time I saw Georgia O'Keefe's paintings of the SouthWest mountains.  I thought the colors could not be real, until I stood at Ghost Ranch looking out at the same view and colors she saw.  Sometimes what we call realistic is actuality abstract, but we must label what we see as humans.  But how can you put words to this stunning vista of nature's canvas?
