In the Big Easy

Arrived in New Orleans late Saturday as is typical with this vibrant city there was a parade and festival...The Irish Parade where they thrown not only beads, but heads of in last night, with booming thunder and lighting flashing and wind whipping as it came across Lake Pontchartrain   It was actually nice to listen to as the rain hit the roof and the streets washed clean for a fresh moring...off to the Morning Call for cafe au lait and beignets and Lake Side News....the news store of all news stores with a magazine on any and every subject and a newspaper from every city and country.

New Orleans is the only place I know of where you ask a little kid what he wants to be and instead of saying "I want to be a policeman," or "I want to be a fireman," he says, I want to be a musician".
