I love this quote because it speaks to the nature of creativity as directly as I know anything to be.  So many times people tell you to be practical, be rational, something cannot be, it is impossible. If Einstein had thought that way for one minute we would not have had his great discoveries that have influenced our world profoundly as we know it.  Creativity calls for imagination, for thinking what if, for not staying in the lines or in the box.  Artists are comfortable in this world and inventors and some scientists.  I think that someday we will understand that this is a higher order of thinking, but until the day that some rational thinker decides how to test creativity it will not be understood…nor will the people who are creative, imaginative, and inventive!
